Visual, musical opening set



SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A visual arts show by several artists and a recital by pianist Paul Sullivan will take place at the Salty Dog Gallery on Friday, Aug. 5. The show opens at 4 p.m. The performance starts at 5 p.m.

The new visual art show will feature Charles Dickinson, Steve and Janet Rogers, Joel Popadics, Gay Paratore, Julie Spahr and Philip S. Steel. All have won national awards the past year.

Sullivan, a Grammy Award winner, will play on the gallery’s Steinway baby grand piano.

Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Tickets cost $20. Seating is limited to 60. Reservations should be made as soon as possible at the gallery, 322 Main St., or buy calling 244-5918.
