Two story times planned

BAR HARBOR — “Miss Mae” Corrion will host two story times at the Jesup Memorial Library in May.

On Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m., children ages four and older are invited to dress to get messy and do three science experiments with water and color. Participants will learn how to turn primary colors into secondary colors, then they’ll make their own chromatography, and finally, each child will make a bubble bottle to take home.

On Wednesday, May 16, at 6 p.m., children ages three and older can dress in their pajamas for a story time based on the works of Margaret Wise Brown, author of “Goodnight Moon.” Participants will read her new book, “Good Day, Good Night,” as well as “Little Fur Family” and “Goodnight Little One.” Then, using animals from the story, participants will decide which animals are big and which are little. Finally, everyone will make their own little goodnight bunny to take home.
