BAR HARBOR — ArtWaves has put out two calls for artists, one for artwork of winter scenes and one for extreme sports art.
Artwork of winter scenes will be displayed in the Mount Desert Island Hospital reception area and the Muniseum in the Bar Harbor municipal building. Artists may drop off one piece for each building to ArtWaves, 329 Main St., by Thursday, Dec. 1. Artists should be sure to include their name, the title of the piece, the price and an artist bio on a piece of paper on the back of each piece.
Creative extreme sport-themed artwork will be displayed at the Choco-Latte Café in January and February. All media are welcome, including 2D, 3D, photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture and more.
Artists may display work for sale or not for sale. The artists determine the price, and 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the artists, while the other half will go to the MDI Skatepark Association.
Artwork must be delivered to ArtWaves by Dec. 24.
