‘Traveling Musicians’ coming to Neighborhood House

MOUNT DESERT — The Barn Arts Collective will perform “The Traveling Musicians: An Animal Glam Rock Show” at the Neighborhood House on Friday, Aug. 4, from 6-7 p.m. in a performance sponsored by the Neighborhood House and the Northeast Harbor Library.

Based on the Grimm’s fairy tale “The Traveling Musicians of Brementown,” this original rock musical was written by NYC theater company 3 Sticks and adapted for a family audience by the Barn Arts Collective of Bass Harbor. Rooster, Donkey, Cat and Dog just couldn’t cut it on the farm, so they grabbed their instruments and started to play – and became the biggest animal glam rock band in the world.

The show wraps up with an audience participation dance party. The event is free and open to the public.
