Toasting success

ELLSWORTH — MDI Toastmasters celebrated its 6th anniversary on April 1. The public is invited to attend a Toastmasters demonstration meeting in the Ellsworth Public Library River Room on Thursday, April 20, from 6-7 p.m. The public also is invited to attend a regular scheduled meeting to learn more about the group.

The club is dedicated to helping people become better speakers and leaders.

“MDI Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to overcome their fear of public speaking and sharpen presentation skills,” says Bob Bechtold, vice president of public relations.

Chartered with 20 members in 2011, MDI Toastmasters club meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Birch Bay village Library in Hulls Cove.

The club also meets the second and fourth Fridays at 12:15 p.m. at The Jackson Laboratory. Visit MDI Toastmasters.
