SOUTHWEST HARBOR — The Southwest Harbor Public Library will present the 1982 film “The Grey Fox” with Richard Farnsworth, on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. Shot in British Columbia in 1981, and based on a true account, “The Grey Fox” stars Richard Farnsworth as Miner, an aging Old West stagecoach robber thrust into a modern world of automobiles, trains and moving pictures. Farnsworth was 61 at the time filming began. After 30 years as a real life cowboy and Hollywood stuntman, he was discovered by the 26-year-old Canadian director Philip Borsos, a protege of Francis Ford Coppola who produced the film. Following his award-winning success in “The Grey Fox,” Farnsworth went on to act in films with Steve McQueen, Jane Fonda, Robert Redford and Sissy Spacek among others.
