Thayer to talk about ‘Nature’s Gifts’

TREMONT — Bob Thayer, photographer and park naturalist, will speak about “Nature’s Gifts, Our National Parks” at the Bass Harbor Memorial Library in Bernard on Monday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. This is the final program in a series by the Tremont Historical Society.

This multimedia program tells the story of the places and people that led to the creation of our national park system and Acadia National Park. The preservation movement may have begun with the formation of Yellowstone National Park, but its legacy continues to this day.
