Students present radio play

BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School drama program will present its spring play, “The Curse of Ravensdurn,” directed by Frank Bachman and Chris Dougherty and written by Nick Hall, this weekend and next.

Performances at the MDIHS Higgins-Demas Theater are set for May 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and May 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students, and will be available at the door.

“The farcical melodrama about the most hideous stately home in England that is occupied by the most hideously, hysterically, and insidiously cursed family in England will be presented as a radio play in six parts, complete with live music and sound effects,” the directors said.

Each cast member will play multiple characters during the two-hour show. The cast includes Finn Baker, Colby Bennoch, Rawl Blackett, Chloe Bolt, Irene Choi, Taylor Crawford, Lily Crikelair, Eric Graves, Haley Leonardi, Moxie McBreairty, Eli Price, Anna Redgate, Alexandra Stavnesli, Jenee Tardy, Zach Uliano, Matt Wheeler, Logan Wilbur, Dezirae Zaman and Zack Zaman. Peter Benson is the onstage musician, and Evelyn Zumwalt and Atty Brown are the onstage sound artists.
