BAR HARBOR — Student storytellers from Conners Emerson in grades three through five will perform original stories Thursday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. at the Jesup Memorial Library. The event is open to the public.
The students spent the past few weeks studying oral storytelling with Andrew Simon of the Barn Arts Collective as part of “The Write Stuff: A Program to Nurture Tomorrow’s Story Makers.” The Write Stuff is a collaborative program between Conners Emerson and the Jesup, funded by a grant from the Maine State Library.
The next workshop, beginning in January, will be on written storytelling, led by author Carrie Jones. In March, a third seven-week session will focus on poetry, led by Nicole Cardano.
