Spring grief support offered

ELLSWORTH — Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County will offer a spring grief support group series starting in April.

In spring when all is supposed to be bright and cheery, lingering feelings of grief related to the loss of a loved one can contribute to a sense of emptiness. Three eight-week grief support series will provide a safe space to acknowledge those feelings and receive support for moving through them. They will be held in three different locations.

St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Blue Hill will host one series running on Mondays, April 17 through June 12 from 1-3 p.m., excluding May 29.

The Hospice Volunteers office in Ellsworth will hold a grief support group series on Tuesdays, April 18 through June 6, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The hospice office will also hold a special series for parents who have lost an adult child on Mondays, April 17 through June 12, from 5-7 p.m., excluding May 29.

The groups are free of charge, but pre-registration is required by April 10. Call Janice Ronco at the Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County office at 667-2531.
