BAR HARBOR — A screening and discussion that features a real-life perspective on the research of The Jackson Laboratory will take place at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m., following a community social at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The audience will explore the battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). “So Much, So Fast” is a black-humored cliffhanger of romance, outsider science and the meaning of time. It follows the events set in motion when Stephen Heywood discovers he has ALS and his brother Jamie becomes obsessed with finding a cure. The discussion afterwards will be facilitated by Gregory Cox, an ALS researcher at The Jackson Laboratory.
No reservations are required. Visit www.jax.org or contact the Jesup at 288-4245 or [email protected]
