TREMONT — Scott Cleveland will perform “The Blues Spectrum,” a “docu-concert” about the history of the blues, Saturday, April 20, at 6 p.m. at Barn Arts.
“With a little help from the audience, Scott sings, plays, and speaks through the history of the blues — from 18th century field hollers to early acoustic Delta Blues to Chicago blues to urbane blues ballads by Tom Waits and Elvis Costello, to astringent and lush jazz blues,” organizers said. There are also “a few original blues tunes to round out the program in the present.”
Christina Spurling and Andrew Simon will open for Cleveland, performing new show tunes.
Tickets are $15 and this event is BYOB. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite or at the door. Visit the Barn Arts Collective on Facebook.
