‘Rhythms of the Heart’ to show in NEH

MOUNT DESERT — Southwest Harbor filmmaker Thom Willey will show his latest film, “Rhythms of the Heart,” at the Northeast Harbor Library on Wednesday, June 8, at 5:30 p.m.

This documentary film depicts Passamaquoddy canoe and basket craftsman David Moses Bridges and his journey to preserve family, life and tradition while facing a life-threatening illness. Original music for this film was composed and recorded by Southwest Harbor’s Chris Gray.

A lifetime resident of Southwest Harbor, Willey’s work has included the motion picture and television industry since 1990.

“Rhythms of the Heart” was funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

The event is free and everyone is welcome.
