SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Beth Renault, owner of Floret, will hold a flower arranging workshop at the next meeting of the Bar Harbor Garden Club, at St John’s Church on Thursday, April 12, at 1 p.m.

Participants will create an uplifting spring arrangement focusing on spring flowering bulbs, along with out-of-the-ordinary fillers to incorporate nature and create a unique look.

Since 2000, Renault has maintained gardens, operated greenhouses and arranged cut flowers on various estates on Mount Desert Island. She began designing flowers for weddings and special events over 20 years ago.

This meeting is open to the public, but preregistration for this workshop is required by April 1. Participants should bring their own pruners. All other supplies will be provided for a $15 fee. Email [email protected] or call 460-8496.

The Bar Harbor Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and National Garden Clubs Inc.
