Reader’s Theater group forms

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A Reader’s Theater group will be meeting Thursdays from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. in April and May at the Southwest Harbor Library. The first meeting will be on April 25.

Andrew Simon of the Barn Arts Collective will lead the multigenerational program, open to any age reader, adult or child, to read plays and poetry out loud together. Children in second grade or younger should be accompanied by an adult.

In 2017, the library’s children’s librarian Susan Plimpton was awarded a Maine Library Association and Northeast Storytelling award. That award has helped to fund this program.

Registration is appreciated, but not required, and the program is free and open to the public. Contact 244-7065.
