Program proposals sought

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — The National Park Service is accepting proposals from people and organizations interested in hosting ranger-narrated activities in and around Acadia in the summers of 2017-2021.

The request for proposals is on the park’s website.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Feb. 24.

“We hope local boat operators, kayak companies, bike shops, youth camps, bus tours and other businesses that service visitors to Acadia will apply for ranger-led services,” Superintendent Kevin Schneider said.

He said the park is offering rangers to provide “safe, high-quality interpretive experiences for visitors.”
