Performance activist to speak

BAR HARBOR — Dancer, improviser, and performance activist Sandra Paola López Ramírez will discuss her work using improvisation as a social justice tool in communities on the U.S.-Mexico border at College of the Atlantic on Friday, May 10, from 6-7:30 p.m. in McCormick Lecture Hall.

She co-founded and directs the Institute for Improvisation and Social Action, which uses “radical humanizing approaches to resist division in a community with marked physical and emotional borders.”
