SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Soprano Caroline Homer and pianist Ben Haney will perform at St. John Church, 315 Main St., for the Westside Food Pantry, on Tuesday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m.

Homer, who grew up in Southwest Harbor, was an outstanding vocalist at Pemetic School and at Mount Desert Island High School. Now, she and Haney are studying at NYU Purchase.

Homer, accompanied by Haney, will perform German art songs by Brahms, Schubert, Wolf and Schumann. Haney’s solo program will include works by Chopin, Copeland and others.

Their performance is a fundraiser for the Westside Food Pantry. For over 25 years, the Westside Food Pantry has served neighbors from Southwest Harbor and the towns of Tremont and Mount Desert. A donation of $10 is suggested, all of which will go to the pantry.
