Season two of ‘Yankee Jungle’ airs Jan. 23



The premiere of season two of “Yankee Jungle,” a Maine-based television show featuring Bar Harbor resident Jason Hodgdon is slated to air on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 9 p.m. on the Animal Planet channel.

“Yankee Jungle” follows the daily life of a Maine family as they struggle to keep a nonprofit exotic animal refuge afloat deep in the backwoods of Maine. It is shot in Mount Vernon.

Hodgdon, who also performs as comedian “Krazy Jake,” grew up in Tremont. The show, which also features Birdie “Karmo” Sanders, also known as the “Marden’s Lady,” is slated to air for five consecutive episodes in that time slot. It is being produced by Portland-based Lone Wolf Media.
