Poetry and music

BAR HARBOR — On Friday, July 17, at 7 p.m., The Whole Health Center in Town Hill will open its doors for a concert with Diana Newman, a singer/songwriter/guitarist, and Crow Suncloud, an indigenous poet, percussionist, and singer, who together make up the duo Timbered Lake. They will be joined by poet Paul Weiss for a collaboration of poetry and music they call “In Concert with the Ripening Moon,” a concert, they say, is “to invoke the blessings of compassion and ripeness of heart.” (“Ripening moon” is the Passamaquoddy name for the month of July.)

Call The Whole Health Center at 288-4128.
