‘Maine at Work’ to be performed

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — The Maine Humanities Council and the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Chamber of Commerce will host a performance called “Maine at Work” on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 5:30 p.m. The performance will take place in the Holmes Room at the library.

“Maine at Work” takes the hot topic of jobs in Maine and turns it into a wide-ranging performance based on historical documents and characters, humor, little-known facts, thought-provoking tales (tall and otherwise) and perspectives from real Mainers. When the performance is finished, actor David Greenham will lead the audience in a conversation about jobs and employment in their town. There is no attempt to change opinions or to reach consensus. The goal is simply to encourage the audience to reflect on and share their thoughts about what they have heard and seen.

All are invited to this thought-provoking performance. Call the library at 244-7065.
