Celebrate “Autumn Gold” at The Grand

ELLSWORTH — Over the “Autumn Gold” weekend Sept. 24-27, The Grand will present Grammy Award-winning pianist Paul Sullivan as well as a simulcast of a London theater production and an international film festival.

Starting at 4 p.m. on Sept. 26, pianist and composer Paul Sullivan will perform. A Brooklin resident, the musician is a member of the Paul Winter Consort who has played concert tours in most of the United States and Europe, as well as Israel, Costa Rica and Japan. The concert costs $25 per adult, $22 per seniors/Grand Member and $10 for youth (ages 12 and under.)

At 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, theater lovers can enjoy seeing a live, high-definition presentation of The National Theatre of London’s production of George Farquhar’s wild comedy of love and cash “The Beaux Stratagem,” directed by Simon Godwin (“Man and Superman”). Tickets cost $18 per adult, $16 per senior, $15 per member and $13 for students (13-17) and $10 for youth (ages 12 and under.)

Kicking off at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, is the 2015 Manhattan Short Film Festival. Filmgoers in Ellsworth will join audiences in more than 300 cities spanning six continents to vote on the work of filmmakers from around the world. Admission costs $10 per adult, $9 per senior/student and $8 per Grand member.
