Benefit concert



BAR HARBOR — Dave Mallett is one of the performers scheduled to play at a fundraiser to help local musician Hannah Somers-Jones at the Criterion Theatre on Tuesday, April 26.

Bidding for a silent auction of gift certificates for restaurants and lodging, merchandise and activities opens at 5 p.m. Bidders can see auction items on www.BobBowmanMusic.com.

Entertainment takes the stage at 7 p.m. with performances from the award-winning Mount Desert Island High School jazz program, Maine’s legendary singer-songwriter Mallett, the rock-and-roll dance band The Crown Vics, Native flute maker and player Hawk Henries and others.

The same night, Little A’s Restaurant’s open mike, hosted by Russell Snyder, will be dedicated to Somers-Jones, with her friends playing music from 7 p.m. till 1 a.m.
