ELLSWORTH — Tickets are now on sale for The Grand’s production of “Mary Poppins,” running Oct. 16 through Nov. 1. Grand members can take advantage of early ticketing now, with tickets for the general public becoming available July 1. If you’re not a member, you can join now to take advantage of early ticketing. Members must call or visit the box office to purchase their tickets.
Returning from last year’s hit production of “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” artistic director and longtime Grand collaborator Ken Stack and stage director Michael Weinstein help bring this live production of the beloved Disney musical adaptation of P.L. Travers’ stories to the Grand’s Stanley Subaru stage. The three-weekend event will feature local performers portraying such classic characters as Mary Poppins herself, Bert the Chimney Sweep and The Banks family. “Mary Poppins” contains a full score of whimsical, yet hummable, songs as “Chim Chim Cheree,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” and of course, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”
