Abbe to host film festival

BAR HARBOR— The Bar Harbor Film Festival is scheduled for Oct. 9-11 at the Abbe Museum in downtown Bar Harbor.

The three-day event has a full schedule of engaging films, enlightening industry speakers and energy-filled workshops, featuring the One Hour Film School series.

The short and feature-length programs include innovative cinematic works from both established and emerging filmmakers, bringing a wide-range of international narrative and documentary films to Maine.

The festival’s speakers and workshops guide filmmakers and filmgoers in a supportive environment, providing inspiration and creative motivation.

The Bar Harbor Film Festival is working with local schools and colleges as part of the Mount Desert Island Arts and Culture Outreach Program, offering talks and workshops free of charge as a community service.
