MOUNT DESERT — Nancy Tyndall of Milkweed Puppet Theater performs “The Dandelion Girl” Monday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Northeast Public Library.
Tyndall is a performer, artist and naturalist from Montville. She has travelled throughout Maine for over 25 years, teaching puppetry and entertaining audiences with her original one-woman shows at schools, libraries, museums and community centers.
Puppets interact with the audience during Tyndall’s one-woman performances. Inspired by a love for the folk art traditions of puppetry, she brings her own ingenuity and imagination to these original productions.
In the performance, an original fairytale, Dandelion befriends a hare, picks berries with a bear, and awakens a dragon who is fiercely guarding jewels. With the help of children in the audience, Dandelion may succeed to get past a thieving troll and return home with true treasures.
This event is free and open to the public. Call the library at 276-3333.
