Library children’s program features animals

MOUNT DESERT — Chewonki Foundation teachers will give an interactive presentation on “Animal Adaptations: Survival in the Wild” at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, at the Northeast Harbor library.

Participants will be able to try on costumes and observe adaptations first-hand with live animal guests.

Birds, reptiles, mammals and amphibians with injuries or conditions that prevent their return to the wild play a role in Chewonki’s educational presentations.
