Lawrence to talk about depth of field



MOUNT DESERT — The MDI Photo Club will hold its monthly meeting in the Mellon Room at the Northeast Harbor Library on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Tom Lawrence will give a talk on depth of field in a photograph. His presentation will cover all aspects of depth of field from f-stops and hyper-focal distance to using tilt-shift lenses and focus stacking.

Lawrence uses photography in his teaching on a wide range of subjects, including the ecosystems and native wildflowers of Acadia, the geology of Mount Desert Island and the history of the Rockefeller carriage roads.
