ISLESFORD — The Islesford Fair on Little Cranberry Island will be held on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s fair will feature a white elephant, food, bounce house, kids games, races, live music, toys, furniture, antiques, art, used clothing, boatbuilding demonstration, Islesford Historical Society publications, baked goods, local Islesford goods, a 2-on-2 basketball tournament and more.
To get there, take the ferry to the Cranberry Isles departing from Northeast or Southwest Harbor. Boats that will get you there before the fair ends from Northeast leave at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.; from Southwest at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
All proceeds from the fair go directly to island organizations, including Islesford Volunteer Fire Department, Islesford Historical Society, Islesford Boatworks, Islesford Neighborhood House Association and the Cranberry Island Realty Trust, among others.
