BAR HARBOR — A special holiday sing-along will take place at the Jesup Memorial Library on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m.
Mike and Susie Fay will play holiday favorites. The library will provide lyric sheets.
Mike Fay is a singer-songwriter who first started singing in spontaneous, acapella “happenings” on street corners in Brooklyn, N.Y., and developed through his travels in the rural South. Since moving to Maine, he has, along with Susie Fay, composed songs from the heart. Together, they have recorded two collections of original music, “First Phase” and “What Would I Do?”
In addition to duo performances, the Fays play with the Big Moose Band at contra dances and other events, and with the Reversing Falls Band, where Mike Fay is the dance caller.
The concert is free and open to the public, though donations are gratefully accepted. Contact the Jesup at 288-4245 or [email protected].
