Farrand film to premiere at COA



BAR HARBOR — The world premiere of “The Life and Gardens of Beatrix Farrand,” a film by Karyl Evans, will talk place at College of the Atlantic’s Gates Auditorium on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 4 p.m. The premiere is presented by The Beatrix Farrand Society.

This new film chronicles Beatrix Farrand’s impressive 50-year career as a landscape architect during the first half of the 20th century. The film covers over 20 sites across the country related to Farrand’s life and work, archival images and documents, and interviews with Farrand scholar Diana Balmori, landscape historian Judith Tankard and landscape architect Shavaun Towers.
