Early Bird Pajama Sale and Bed Races are back

BAR HARBOR — The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce’s 26th annual Early Bird Pajama Sale is set to take place on Saturday from 6 a.m. to noon.

While customers shop around Bar Harbor, they will be expected to adhere to the CDC recommendations and follow stores’ individual COVID-19 protocol requests.

The Chamber’s 12th annual Bed Races event will start at 10 a.m. A parade of decorated, wheeled beds sponsored by local businesses will make its way to the start and finish line in front of the 1932 Criterion Theatre.

Cottage Street will close for contestants to race in a timed contest down the street and back. Awards for first place, second place and best-decorated bed are to be presented immediately following the race. The Chamber expects both participants and spectators to wear face coverings.
