SOUTHWEST HARBOR — The public is invited to an open conversation about The Criterion Theatre at the Southwest Harbor Public Library on Tuesday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m. Representatives from the Criterion management and board will attend.
“The Criterion strives to truly be a community theater where both locals and visitors feel like they’re an integral part of its growth,” said Kristin Leffler, community outreach manager at the theater.
“Having a thriving, vibrant arts hub is crucial to building a healthy economic and cultural fabric of a community, so the future of the theater affects all of us. We want to hear feedback and suggestions from everyone whether they’re year-round residents, summer residents, business owners, nonprofit leaders, artists or lovers of the arts.”
The forum is a casual, open dialogue at which Criterion representatives will say a few words about the current state of the theater and then invite questions and feedback from the community.
The 1932 Criterion Theatre is Bar Harbor’s nonprofit historic performing arts and movie house committed to bringing the best in entertainment to the MDI community and beyond year-round. Follow the theater on Facebook, visit criteriontheatre.org or call 288-0829.
