BAR HARBOR — A community outreach forum about the roles of The Criterion Theatre and the Jesup Memorial Library in the creative life of Mount Desert Island will be held at the library on Sunday, April 29, at 2 p.m.
The discussion will focus on both institutions’ roles as nonprofit organizations dedicated to nurturing the creative community of MDI. Both organizations will make a brief presentation followed by a question-and-answer session with attendees.
“Our primary goals are to gauge people’s perspective, gather suggestions for how we can better serve the community and engage folks on any big questions they have about why things run the way they do,” said Criterion Marketing Manager Zachary Taibi.
The 1932 Criterion Theatre is Bar Harbor’s nonprofit historic performing arts and movie house. Visit criteriontheatre.org.
The Jesup Memorial Library is a center for educational exchange, creative community collaboration and knowledge-sharing, connecting people to ideas, people to information and people to people.
