Colorful paintings brighten library walls

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A one-woman show of the paintings of Beth G. Lambert will be featured at the Southwest Harbor Public Library for the month of October.

Lambert paints scenes close to her coastal home in Manset. A plein-air artist, she gathers information from her surroundings before moving to an intuitive dimension. “I like to listen to the heartbeat of the subject and follow its lead with paint and brush until the painting matches my feelings for the subject,” said Lambert.

Call the library at 244-7065.

Lambert has open gallery hours Thursday and Friday afternoons at 245 Seawall Road. Her work also can be seen at bethglambert.com.
