Update (1:22 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15) The Beer Fest has been rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BAR HARBOR — The Inaugural Bar Harbor Winter Beer Fest is set for Sunday, Jan. 17, at Atlantic Brewing Company in Town Hill from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Join the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce to alleviate the winter blues with regional craft brews, local food, and live entertainment,” said Jenny Bishop, event coordinator. “We see this as a great opportunity to bring the community together for some fun outdoor activities.”
Blaze will be onsite with a mobile food trailer equipped with a complete wood-fired oven, rotisserie and grill. There also will be a shuttle service running from the Village Green in downtown Bar Harbor to the brewery, with a stop at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel. The shuttle runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Side Street Cafe will provide games to keep festival goers warm. Atlantic Brewing Company’s tasting room will be open. Fire pits will offer respite from the cold.
Participating breweries include: Atlantic Brewing Company, Black Bear Brewery, Blank Canvas Brewery, Geaghan Bros. Brewing, Marsh Island Brewing, Orono Brewing Company, Penobscot Bay Brewery, and Strong Brewing Co.
Sponsors include the Oceanside, Bar Harbor Beer Works, Cadillac Mountain Sports, Blaze, The Growler Bus, House Wine, Northeast Whitewater, Reel Pizza Cinerama, Side Street, and Union Square.
Tickets are on sale for $20 for unlimited beer sampling or $10 for designated drivers.
