Barn Arts hosts double feature

TREMONT — The Barn Arts Collective will host a theatrical double feature that marks the end of the first Barn Arts residency of the season on Saturday, June 4, at 7 p.m.

The Atlanta Alumni Project, an ensemble of artists that met in the Theater and Dance program at Emory University, has been developing its newest piece throughout the week and will showcase work from “Lacuna,” a remix of the David Grieg play “The Cosmonaut’s Last Message to the Woman He Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union.”

The evening also will feature the theater-making team of Gabriel Grilli and Rona Siddiqui, performing work from a new musical in development called “As We Travel on.” The artists, based in New York City, are working on a piece described as a musical portrait of the sacrifices, triumphs and heartbreaks a circle of actors face over the course of 20 years.

The Barn, at 130 Tremont Rd., is across the street from the Tremont School. All performances are by donation. Visit or call 412-9435.
