Auto Museum after school

TREMONT — Registration is open for a free after school art and writing program planned for April 22-26, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Seal Cove Auto Museum.

In the program, students in grades 4-8 will create anthropomorphic representations of cars in the Seal Cove Auto Museum and contribute to their current exhibit, “Selling Lifestyle and Leisure: Art, Advertising, and the Automobile.” This program is funded through a Catherine Johnson grant.

Refreshments, art supplies and transportation to and from Pemetic Elementary School are provided.

Creations will be exhibited and celebrated during a public reception on the final day and displayed at the Seal Cove Auto Museum for the 2019 season, which opens May 1.

A book will be compiled of the students’ artwork and writing, which will be given to each student and sold in the museum store, with proceeds going toward the continuation of this project.

Registration ends April 19. Contact 244-9242 or [email protected]
