Tanguay to discuss music in childhood



SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Join board-certified music therapist Carla Tanguay on Monday, July 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Southwest Harbor Public Library for an experiential talk about the importance of music in early childhood. Tanguay will discuss how music supports learning and development and give ideas for making music a part of everyday family life. Special focus will be placed on using music to promote literacy, and how music therapy can help children with developmental, sensory and learning challenges.

Children with adults are welcome.

Tanguay will also be at the Toddler Storytime on Wednesday, July 11, and Baby Storytime on Friday, July 13, both starting at 10 a.m.
