Somesville Museum exhibit opens June 25



MOUNT DESERT — The Somesville Museum and Gardens Campus will open a new “Waves of Change” exhibit in the 1780 Selectmen’s Building on Thursday, June 25, from 4-5 p.m. The Somesville Museum exhibit “Portrait of an Island” will continue this summer, with the addition of a new dory, hand-made this winter by Jim Mroch and Bill Horner.

The Heirloom and Conrad Gardens are being renovated by a team lead by Joy Lyons. The opening reception is free to the public.

For the rest of the summer, the Somesville campus will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A donation of $5 for adults is suggested, while admission for children and members of the society is free.
