BAR HARBOR — Bestselling author Bill Roorback will be at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. to discuss and sign copies of his latest novel, “The Remedy for Love.”
“The Remedy for Love,” which has been described as a “flat-out funny, sexy and poignant romantic thriller,” is a finalist for the prestigious 2014 Kirkus Prize, to be awarded a week after Roorbach’s appearance at the Jesup.
Roorbach is the author of nine books of fiction and nonfiction, including the bestselling “Life Among Giants,” which won the 2013 Maine Literary Award for Fiction. The 10th anniversary edition of his craft book “Writing Life Stories” is used in writing programs around the world. His work has been published in “Harper’s,” “Atlantic Monthly,” “Playboy,” “New York Times Magazine” and dozens of other publications.
Come meet Roorbach in Bar Harbor on Oct. 16 at this special event cosponsored by Sherman’s Bookstore. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Jesup that evening with a percentage of sales donated to the library.
