MOUNT DESERT — A free reading and discussion group will take place at the Northeast Harbor Library on Wednesdays, March 23 and 30, and April 20 and 27, at 5 p.m.
The “After Frost” poetry series is part of a “Let’s Talk about It” discussion series supported by the Maine Humanities Council.
Readings will come from “After Frost: Poetry in New England,” copies of which are available through the library. Candace Stover will facilitate the discussions.
Stover is a native of Maine who has traveled and taught widely, including two years in Shanghai and New Zealand. A former reporter for the Boston Globe, she is the author of three poetry collections and has appeared in a variety of anthologies, journals and magazines. She also has taught at College of the Atlantic and designs courses that focus on the short story, women’s poetry and facilitates independent writing workshops.
