November artist draws on nature

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Roxane Scherer will be the featured artist for the month of November at the Southwest Harbor Public Library.

Scherer works primarily in pastels and colored pencils. Her art reflects her love of natural form, whether it is in a mountain landscape or in a study of fallen leaves.

Scherer studied at the Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited throughout Maine and New York.

Scherer’s one woman show will be up until Nov. 30. Call the library at 244-7065.
