BAR HARBOR — The 68th annual Art in the Park show will take place June 16-17 in downtown Bar Harbor. Artists can now submit their application for booth space to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
The beauty of Bar Harbor was first captured on canvas in the 1800s by American painters. “The tradition of fine art in Bar Harbor goes back more than a century,” said Martha Searchfield, executive director of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
“As one of the longest-running art shows in Bar Harbor, we are pleased to continue this tradition with another exceptional display of art in the heart of our community.”
Art in the Park brings together more than 30 artists to display and sell their original paintings and photographs on Bar Harbor’s Village Green. Hailing from across Maine and New England, these artists represent a diverse range of styles and mediums in the fields of painting and photography.
Artists seeking to participate for the first time are required to submit examples of their work along with their application and a nonrefundable application fee no later than April 4. Returning artists should submit their application before April 6. Visit www.visitbarharbor.com or email [email protected].
