BAR HARBOR — The Abbe Museum, Anchorspace and Northeast Harbor Library will present PechaKucha MDI Night on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 5:30-7 p.m. The topic of the event, set for the backyard of the Abbe Museum, 26 Mount Desert St., is Alter Egos.
According to Merriam Webster, “alter ego” has several definitions: a different version of yourself; a second self; a close friend who thinks or feels similarly to the way you think or feel; and the opposite side of a personality.
Given that the year-round population of Mount Desert Island is a little over 10,000, a lot of alter egos must call Mount Desert Island home. The mistress of alter egos Lyzz Bien will be the master of ceremonies.
The event is free and open to the public. Bring a picnic dinner and a lawn chair or blanket. Darling’s Ice Cream truck will give out goodies and Camden National Bank will provide fresh popcorn.
