Aging and loss support workshops offered

ELLSWORTH — Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is offering another series of a program of support for individuals age 62 and over who have experienced the many losses associated with aging, starting in April.

These losses may include the death of a spouse, family members and friends, impaired health, financial insecurity, changes in life roles and decreased self-esteem. These losses can result in uncertainty, loneliness and sadness, but support is available.

The workshop will be offered in two series: at Bucksport Square Apartments on Wednesdays, April 19 through May 24, from 10-11:30 a.m.; and at the Friends in Action Senior Center in Ellsworth on Wednesdays, from April 26-May 31, from 1:30-3 p.m. The workshop is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Call Janice Ronco at Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County at 667-2531 or visit hospiceofhancock.org.

This workshop is supported in part by the Maine Community Foundation.
