MOUNT DESERT — The work of Agatha Christie is a specialty of Acadia Repertory Theatre. This season, for the first time, the company is producing Christie’s last play, “Towards Zero!”
Featuring Frank Bachman, Bernard Hope, Samuel Fidler, Michael Perlman, Olivia Michael, Michael Kissin, Julie Ann Nevill, Rawl Blackett and Beatrice Beutel, “Towards Zero” is now playing nightly at 8:15 p.m., except for Mondays, through Sept. 1.
The play opens as a house party gathers at Gull’s Point, the seaside home of Lady Tressilian. At the party, Neville Strange finds himself caught between his old wife Audrey and his new flame Kay.
“A nail-biting thriller, the play probes the psychology of jealousy in the shadow of murder,” a statement from Acadia Rep said. “The play features an excellent ensemble of characters and one of the twistiest plots the Queen of Suspense ever came up with!”
Tickets are $26 for adults; $23 for students, seniors and military members; and $13 for children.
