BAR HARBOR — The former music director of the Royal Ballet in London and the first person of color to conduct the Cape Town Philharmonic will share a lifetime of musical memories during College of the Atlantic’s next Coffee and Conversation event on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m.

Isaiah Jackson, professor of composition at Berklee School of music, will sit down for an hour-long discussion with COA music professor and composer in residence John Cooper to discuss his life and work in the Deering Common Community Center on COA’s Eden Street campus. The event is free and open to the public.
