Laszlo Gardony Trio to play at Criterion Theatre



BAR HARBOR — The Laszlo Gardony Trio will play at the Criterion Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m. The performance is being presented by the Bar Harbor Jazz Festival and the historic theater.

Gardony is a critically acclaimed artist who has brought his soulful improvisations and compositions to audiences in 26 countries. Winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition, Gardony has been called “a pianist worthy of praise within the highest pantheon of performers” by “Jazz Review” and “a great pianist” by Dave Brubeck. Gardony will perform original compositions and original arrangements of jazz from his new Sunnyside Records release “Life in Real Time” in trio with bassist John Lockwood and drummer Yoron Israel.
