Governor to appear

BAR HARBOR — Gov. Paul LePage will hold the next in his series of town hall meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 6-7 p.m. in the auditorium at Mount Desert Island High School.

The governor’s press secretary, Adrienne Bennett, said Wednesday that he will open the meeting by talking about his goals in the areas of income tax and welfare reform, reducing energy costs and addressing Maine’s high student debt burden. He will then answer questions submitted in advance by members of the audience.

LePage’s most recent town hall meeting was this past Tuesday evening in Bucksport.
